The Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) is a joint venture of Rio Tinto (58.7 per cent), Mitsubishi (26.2 per cent) and the Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Income Fund (15.1 per cent). Managed by the Rio Tinto Iron Ore group, IOC is Canada's largest iron ore pellet producer, maintaining an open pit mine, a concentrator and iron ore pellet making plant at Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as a 418km railway and port facilities at Sept Îles, Quebec, on the Gulf of St. Lawrence. With approximately 2000 employees, IOC has a global market selling to customers in North America, Europe and Asia.

Located in Labrador City, the successful candidate must hold an inter-provincial Heavy Duty Mechanic journeyperson certificate with related experience or an inter-provincial Automotive Technician journeyperson certificate with related experience. The successful candidates must have experience in an industrial environment. We require energetic, self-starters who are committed to achieving results and who want to grow with a large successful organization.
